At Therapy Toolbox Psychology & Counselling, our mission has always been simple: to provide warm, evidence-based, and accessible psychology to individuals and families when they need it most. In 2025, we’re doubling down on that mission.

Here’s What’s New This Year

1. Easier Online Self Referrals

We know life gets busy and sometimes picking up the phone just doesn’t happen. That’s why we’ve streamlined our self referral system, making it quicker and easier at a time that suits you. Whether you’re looking for in-person sessions or telehealth appointments, contact is now just a few clicks away.

2. Expanding Our Team of Clinicians

We’re excited to welcome our very experienced registered psychologist, Michael Kerr, and our Provisional Psychologist, Mercedes Verso to our team. The addition of our provisional psychologist means we are able to offer a psychology service (within a multidisciplinary team), for a price comparable to a counsellor. With more clinicians on board, we can offer reduced wait times and even more diverse therapeutic approaches, because we know that no two people are the same. We have also welcomed our superstar admin, Nikki, taking the pressure off our clinicians so they can focus more on your care. Phoebe is another welcome addition to our team, a Therapy Assistant offering between session support services.

3. Focus on Trauma-Informed Care

2025 is the year we further embed trauma-informed practice into every layer of our service - from first contact to ongoing therapy. We’re committed to safety, choice, and collaboration in all aspects of care.

4. Group Programs Coming Soon

We’re currently developing group programs tailored to children, teens, and adults including anxiety management, emotional regulation, and parenting support. Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates.

5. Community Engagement

This year, we’re committed to being more present in our community. From local workshops to collaborations with schools and support services, we’re aiming to reduce stigma and increase access to mental health support. We are offering professional development sessions tailored to workplaces, schools, daycares, kindergartens, and more. Please get in touch to discuss your needs.

Let’s Talk

Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to it, we’re here to support you in navigating life’s challenges. Therapy isn’t just about coping, it’s about healing, understanding yourself more deeply, and creating a life that feels meaningful to you.

You don’t need to have it all figured out to start. You just need a safe space and that’s what we’re here for.

Warmly,

The Therapy Toolbox Psychology & Counselling Team
