Angela McCleary

BSocSci (Psych), GradDipPsych (Adv), PsyBA General, MAPS, MAAPi

Angela is the Principal Psychologist at Therapy Toolbox with extensive experience across acute mental health, child and adolescent psychology, out-of-home care, private practice, psychological assessment and the NDIS.

She works with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, developmental and mental health concerns. Her broad experience allows her to understand complex and overlapping presentations and develop practical, individualised treatment plans.

Angela is trained in evidence-based therapies including CBT, DBT, ACT, Family-Based Treatment, Trauma-Focused CBT, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, EMDR and ERP.

She is also highly experienced in psychometric assessment, diagnostic clarification, differential diagnosis, second opinions and psychological reporting.

Angela combines strong clinical knowledge with a warm, practical and collaborative approach, tailoring therapy and assessment to each person’s needs and goals.

Michael Kerr

BA(Psych), PostGradDipPsych, MClinCouns

Michael is a Consultant Psychologist with postgraduate qualifications in psychology and a Master of Clinical Counselling. He works with children, adolescents and adults, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychological therapy in a safe, respectful and collaborative environment.

Michael has a particular interest in men’s mental health and the wellbeing of boys and men. He understands that seeking psychological support can sometimes feel difficult and focuses on building trust, making therapy approachable and helping clients develop practical strategies for meaningful change.

His therapeutic approach draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy and Client-Centred Therapy. Michael tailors therapy to each person’s individual needs, strengths and goals, supporting clients through emotional difficulties, life challenges and periods of change.

Warm, thoughtful and practical, Michael places the therapeutic relationship at the centre of his work and is committed to helping each client feel understood, supported and actively involved in their treatment.

Brooke Seccull 

BSocCommStud, MSW (Prof. Qual.)

Brooke is a qualified and experienced Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social and Community Studies and a Master of Social Work. She has worked across government and community services, with extensive experience in mental health, therapeutic family work, domestic and family violence, and child protection.

Brooke supports individuals and families through assessment, treatment planning, psychoeducation and evidence-based therapy. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Resource Therapy, Interplay Family Therapy and Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders.

Brooke brings a compassionate, practical and trauma-informed approach to her work. She focuses on creating a safe and respectful therapeutic relationship while helping clients understand their experiences, build effective coping strategies and work towards meaningful change.

Todd Scott 

RPN(Div3), RN(Div1), DipHE(MHN), CPL(A)

Todd is an experienced psychotherapist, counsellor and registered psychiatric nurse with approximately 25 years of clinical experience across acute mental health services and a wide range of psychiatric nursing roles.

His extensive frontline experience has given him a deep understanding of both common psychological difficulties and complex mental health presentations. Todd supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, major life changes and other challenges affecting their health and wellbeing.

He draws upon evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. His approach is practical, direct and compassionate, combining strong clinical knowledge with an understanding of each client as an individual.

Todd is also a commercial airline pilot and former flight instructor. This unusual combination of aviation and mental health expertise enables him to play a central role in Therapy Toolbox’s highly individualised fear of flying program.

Nikki is Therapy Toolbox’s experienced Administration Officer and is often the first friendly point of contact for our clients and families.

With more than 20 years of experience in administration, medical reception and client support, Nikki has worked across general practice, specialist cardiology and paediatric clinic settings. Her extensive healthcare experience enables her to assist clients professionally, sensitively and efficiently throughout the referral and appointment process.

Warm, approachable and highly organised, Nikki helps ensure that every client feels welcomed, informed and supported from their first contact with Therapy Toolbox.
